Brookfield Earnings (Issue #49)
Recent Update:
Brookfield Corporation (NYSE: BN — $56.78b) Similarly to Berkshire Brookfield is cash-heavy right now with $125b ready to be deployed. This was powered by a “record year for fundraising” that was capped off with the spinoff of their asset management business. The company now has $789.49b in AUM which is a 22% CAGR over the past 5 years.
Real Estate is a core of Brookfield’s business. The company owns many different types of real estate including office space. Many investors and companies have become bearish on office space moving forward with the increase of working from home and virtual work alternatives. However, Brookfield sees opportunities with large tech companies in the office rental sector. They remain bullish and office rental remains a key part of their real estate portfolio.
This will be a future deep dive and a stock that has the potential to be added to the portfolio. Keep an eye on it.
